Early sales help gauge your audience

Want to judge your audience’s interest in your work? Try offering pre-orders! Most VHX publishers set their pre-order sales about one month before their launch date. It can be a great indication of how your content will perform once you start selling: On average, every pre-order predicts about 3.5 sales once the content is released. Another great move with pre-orders is to offer some instant gratification — try offering a free video or another bit of bonus content to tide your fans over until your project becomes available. For example, customers who pre-ordered feature film  1915 got exclusive early access to the film’s score.
